If you want a tangible reminder of a fun family gathering, then consider custom imprinted stadium cups, tote bags, hats and T-shirts, says my colleague, Dave Edwards, CSEP, of Promo Vision, a promotional products company in Bethesda. Almost any item can be imprinted, including other summertime favorites like coolers, beach towels and frisbees, but items like T-shirts are very popular. In fact, one trend is to design a family tree and imprint it on the back of a T-shirt with the family name and date of the reunion. Taking this suggestion one step further, I like the idea of selecting a T-shirt color for each generation - for example, blue for the grandparents, green for their kids and yellow for the grandchildren - or perhaps a T-shirt color for each branch of the tree if your family has "deep roots".

Other souvenir ideas I came up with include:

• Digital photos and videos burned to a CD or DVD or downloaded to a digital scrapbook
• *My Favorite* Recorded interviews taken on-site, and again, burned to a CD or DVD for future generations to see and learn from
