This issue of party possibilities focuses on 'first-in-class' graduation parties, specifically entertainment options to celebrate your grad.

It's my opinion that when it comes to parties entertainment really matters to teenagers and young adults, far more than food and decor. The Class of 2008 is a very high-tech group of people; they live 'on- demand', chat on FaceBook, 'Google', and take pictures with their phone. As a result, they expect a sophisticated experience, and entertainment becomes the critical element for your party success.

To find out the best entertainment ideas, I consulted with Dan Goodman of Bialek's Music, a well-known resource for DJs and bands, as well as other performers and entertaining activities. He informed me of what was hip and hot right now for graduation parties. Enjoy!

Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero and Rock Band. These interactive games are based on the PlayStation and Wii versions, and become larger-than- llife when played on huge flat screens. Add bright lights for full concert effect!

Video DJ. DJ's are still popular but a Video DJ mixes music to MTV-like videos displayed on a 50" flat screen. For additional impact, attach a stationary camera to the screen and toggle between your guests dancing and the videos.

Breakdancers, Hip-Hop dancers. Breakdancing was huge in the 80's and it's still hot. Many teenagers like to dance and like learning the latest moves even more. And for those guests on the sidelines, they will be amazed by the performance.

Photo Fantasty. Some teens would rather capture memories with friends than dance the night away. With Photo Fantasty, guests are transported to another place by using a clever backdrop - like the beach or Disney World. Or using a 'green screen', the photographer can take pictures of guests on the cover of Time magazine (think Man/Woman of the Year) or with favorite celebrities, for example. Photos become great souvenirs.
